GKAS Teddy bear

The first Friday of February, February 6th 2015, it is the annual kick-off for give kids a smile day and you can help!

Children in underserved areas have a very high prevalence of tooth decay; up to 5 times higher than asthma. Simply because they cannot afford dental care.

Each year the ADA organizes ‘give kids a smile’ (GKAS) day, which is called to life for providing undeserved children the oral checkups and treatment that they need. Next to dental care, GKAS day aims at prevention by educating the community. What started out as a day per year event, has turned into a year-round program, providing dental care for approximately 350.000 US children annually. This can only be achieved with the help of over 40.000 (professional) volunteers, and with the help of donations the public.

Would you like to know more, volunteer or make a donation and help children in need of dental care. Learn more on ways you can help by visiting the Give Kids A Smile Website. Your help is appreciated!
